Deputy Minister: Thembisile Nkadimeng
Deputy Minister Thembisile Nkadimeng is the former President of SALGA. She has also served as the Deputy President of SALGA before ascending to the position of a President - making her the second female President of SALGA since its formation.
Ms Nkadimeng has served in the following capacities:
• Executive mayor of Polokwane Municipality in Limpopo.
• She served in managerial positions in both public administration and in the private sector.
• She also serves as a Co-president of the United Cities of Local Government (UCLG).
Ms Nkadimeng's academic records includes a Higher Education Diploma, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree as well as a BPhil (Political Studies) from the University of Stellenbosch. In preparation for her numerous leadership roles, she also completed the Advanced Program in Management at Wits Business School.
